DAINTY

These are the works of yet another talented polymer clay artist from Pennsylvania. I like the floating tiny details in these pieces and their subtle texture. This style reminds delicate silk embroidery, yes?

Tamara Shea from Baltimore, MD (my neighbor!) creates these stunning highly-textured pieces of jewelry and home d├ęcor. She makes her own hand-carved stamps and uses acrylic paints to bring out the texture.

Find these and many more works by Tamara in her shop, blockpartypress.etsy.com. Make sure to visit Tamara's blog, blockpartypress.blogspot.com, where she shows her amazing close-up pictures and talks about her polymer clay work.

HONEST

I always feel uneasy when I see someone's work blatantly copied (often with lesser quality than original) and sold under somebody else's name.

These beautiful pendants and bracelets by Vickie Turner from ThreeCheekyWenches.etsy.com is a completely different story. Vickie clearly adds her own voice to her source of inspiration ( Judy Belcher's work), which she references properly and honestly. With an interesting choice of colors and a great execution, Vickie's pieces would make Judy proud.

IMPRESSIVE

I love the great colors and interesting shapes on these pendants. The one with a heart is created using a polymer clay adaptation of mokume gane, an old metal-working technique. To make it, differently-colored layers of polymer clay were stacked and impressed with various objects and then thin slices were removed to reveal the pattern obtained inside of the stack. I am only guessing that the other two were made using the same technique or a variation of it.

You can find these beauties in Empty Nest Creations on Etsy.com.

WITH LOVE

When I wrote about Angela Moore's work yesterday, she responded with a link to another store, Polymer Clay for a Cause, which she started in honor of her daughter, Cortney.

The story about Cortney's short life is incredibly sad and inspirational at the same time. Being a mother myself, I am fighting tears as I am writing this post...

This shop sells donated works by many talented artists, including members of Polymer Clay Artist Guild on Etsy. All proceeds go to children's charities.

FLAWLESS

Heather Stokes uses a simple molding technique to make her polymer clay jewelry, but her pieces look incredibly sophisticated. Dreamy colors, gently-arched shapes, nice little accents created with other beads – it all adds to the beauty of Heather's collection, but my attention was caught first of all by her flawless craftsmanship. Look at the last picture. It shows that Heather creates a vein pattern on both sides of her polymer clay leaves. Beautiful, isn't it?

ETHNIC

If I were to tell you that these beautiful stamped pendants are made from polymer clay, you would believe me, wouldn't you?

It is not! It is actually air dry (also called "cold cure") modeling clay DAS. However, these designs and techniques can easily be transferred to polymer clay, that is why I decided to show them here.

I love the subtle color schemes of each of these necklaces and their richly-decorated ethnic motifs.

Find these and other similar creations in the shop of Alona Lahav from Israel, rafya.etsy.com.

WHIMSICAL

Look at these funny polymer clay containers sculpted over glass egg-shaped jars. Called "whatever jars", they were sculpted by a New York artist, Rosemarie, of RF Colorful Creations , and would make a great gift for many occasions.
